Types of Wagers

Please click on any of the types of wagers we currently offer from the list below to learn more about of them:

Straight Bet
A Straight Bet is a wager on one selection and one selection only. If your selection is a favorite you must win by the point spread in order to win your wager. In the case of a push (i.e. the favorite wins by the spread or the underdog loses by the spread), your original wager is refunded. If you wager on an underdog, your selection can lose the game and you still can win if they do not lose by more than the point spread.

Another type of Straight Bet is the Total Wager (commonly called the "over/under"). The over/under is determined by adding both teams final score together (overtime included). You must select whether the total combined score will be over or under the line posted for the total. The same odds and rules apply for a single total bet as a Straight wager.

All Straight Bets are calculated at bet $11 to win $10. All selections must be played on the scheduled date or there is no action on the game and your original wager will be refunded. Make up games or games that have been rescheduled will have no action.

Parlays
A Parlay Bet is one wager consisting of at least two teams but not more than eight. You select between 2 and 8 teams in no particular order. For you to win the Parlay Bet, all the selections must win their respective games by covering the point spread. If one team loses, then the whole Parlay wager loses.

If any game is pushed (tied), postponed, incomplete, canceled, or re-scheduled for another date, the Parlay wager will be reduced to the next type of wager for payout purposes. For example: A 4-team Parlay wager will be reduced to a 3-team Parlay. A 2-team Parlay will be reduced to a Straight wager.

Special Baseball Rules
When wagering on total runs (over/under), the game must go 9 innings (8.5 if the home team is ahead) to have action. If a game is called or suspended, the score will be determined after the last full inning (unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the score is determined at the time the game is called). Rules for the run line wagers are the same as those for baseball totals.

Parlay Cards
A Parlay Card is a selection of 4 to 12 teams, in no particular order, in a single wager.

All teams wagered on in a Parlay Card must win (with the point spread) for the wager to win. If any selections lose, the wager is lost altogether.

If a game is canceled or re-scheduled in a four-team Parlay Card there will be no action and your original wager will be refunded as we CANNOT accept a three-team Parlay Card.

All pushes (i.e. the favorite wins by the spread or the underdog loses by the spread) lose on a Parlay Card. All selections must be played on scheduled date or there is no action on these selections. Make up games or games that have been rescheduled will have no action.

Squares
A Square Bet is an exotic wager on the last two digits of the score of a game or score at the end of a period of a game. Usually, there are 100 squares to choose from. For example:

Cowboys (Across)
Redskins (Down)

If the final score between the Redskins and the Cowboys in the above Square is:

Redskins 35 Cowboys 14

Where the 5 on the Redskins side and the 4 on the Cowboys has been wagered on, the player will win this bet.

All bets are action even if no player selects a winning Square.

Only one player is allowed per square so payoffs do not get shared among many winners. Prices per Square are fixed and can be found in the header of each Square page. Payoffs include the price of the Square and can vary from game to game. The details of a Square payoff are defined at the top right of each square grid. The price per Square and total payoff can also be found in the upper left corner. Values will be assigned randomly at the start of the event. Player activity reports will show the geometric position of your Square within the grid and after the game starts, will also show which digits you need beside the team names.

Squares are paid out at the end of the event, so even when there are winners at a half-time or quarter, the winning accounts are not credited until the game is complete and the entire Square grid can be graded.

Teasers
A Teaser bet is when you select two or more teams combined into one wager, in which additional points are either added to the underdog or subtracted from the favorite.

You select between 2 and 6 teams in no particular order. The point spread in each selection will be altered in favor of the player. In basketball games, the points can be altered 4 points, 4.5 points, or 5 points. In football games, you have the option of a 6 point, 6.5 point, or 7 point Teaser. An example of a 3-team football teaser is:

Original Line

6 Point Teaser

6.5 Point Teaser

7 Point Teaser

Cowboys -8

Cowboys -2

Cowboys -1.5

Cowboys -1

Redskins +3

Redskins +9

Redskins +9.5

Redskins +10

Eagles +5

Eagles +11

Eagles +11.5

Eagles +12

In the event of a tie, just like in parlays, the Teaser wager will be reduced to the next lowest type of Teaser wager. In a 2 team Teaser, a tie and a loss is a loss, a tie and a win would be a push constituting no action. The player can mix basketball and football together in a Teaser. The points will move according to the sport.

Depending they type of Teaser that is chosen, the payoffs will be as followed:

Original Line

Sweetheart Teaser Line

Eagles +15

The payoff for football is 10 / 13 and for basketball is also 10 / 13.

Futures
A Future bet is a wager on the outcome of an event that is NOT to be played on the current day but will be played in the future. Futures may include the winner of the Super Bowl, World Series, Stanley Cup, etc. Only straight wagers may be made on Futures. The odds will change throughout the season. Usually Futures will offer higher odds for players.

If Bets
An If Bet is a wager which is not yet action but will become action based on the result of another bet. For example, let's say you place an If Bet on 2 straight wagers. You will ONLY have action on the second wager ONLY if the first one wins, ties or cancels.

You can tag on a straight bet to an already existing wager making it an If Bet if you so desire.

Moving The Line
This is an option given to you if you would like to move the existing line by up to 3 points. The payout varies according to how many points you buy as follows:

1/2 point lay 12/10
1 point lay 13/10
1.5 points lay 14/10
2 points lay 15/10
2.5 points lay 16/10
3 points lay 17/10

Maximum buy in Basketball (totals included) is 1 pt.

For football, if you buy on or off the #3, you must lay 13/10
