v3
to v4

Options:
======
A) The most preferable way of converting
from v3 to v4
is to back up your information onto a floppy for from
v3. This allows for seamless transition and no
delays
because you will not be waiting for a "NEW
PIN" in the mail. Here are the instructions
for doing this:
User
Info System
---------------------
The User Information Management Systems allows players
of
Safari Casino® to save their
E-cash account information to a floppy disk. By saving
this information to a floppy disk, a player can avoid
re-registering (and generating a new ECash Direct (UK) Limited E-cash
account) if their computer system crashes or it becomes
necessary to uninstall and reinstall Safari Casino®.
This floppy disk can also be used to access the saved
account from another computer that already has Safari
Casino®
software installed on it.
Once you have created an account at Safari Casino®, you
may save your user information to floppy disk at any
time as follows:
As you enter Safari Casino®, you
will be asked for your "User Name" and
"Password". However, before you do this, you
will notice a button labeled
"Options" just below the "Exit"
button. Please click the "Options" button.
On the next screen, you'll be asked to insert a floppy
disk into your computer's "A:" or
"B:" drive. Please select the appropriate
button on the screen. Once you've inserted a
floppy disk, click on the button labeled
"Save". Then click the button labeled
"Return" to complete the process.
Once your "User Information" has been saved to
your floppy disk, keep it in a very confidential place.
Please note - you must enter your "User
Name" and "Password"
each time you enter the casino even if you are using the
floppy disk.
To access your Safari Casino®
account from a different computer (i.e. different from
the one you saved your "User Information" to
floppy disk on),
please follow the steps listed below:
Enter Safari Casino®.
Insert your floppy disk which contains your backed up
E-cash account info.
Enter your "User Name" and
"Password" and check the box
"Login using floppy". Click the
"Login" button. To recover your E-cash account
using the floppy disk in the case of a crash or
un-installation
Enter Safari Casino® and when
you are asked for your "User Name" and
"Password", again click the
"Options" button and insert the floppy disk
containing your "User Information". Then click
the button
labeled "Restore" and then on the next screen
click the "Yes" button. A message should
appear stating that your "User Information"
was successfully restored to your computer. Now simply
enter your "User Name" and
"Password" and you will be back in business!
Caution: Never use the "Emergency Recovery"
option on a computer other than your own as it will
override the user information on that computer and
install your E-cash account
information onto that machine. To use your account on
another computer, please follow the steps outlined
above.
Only use the Emergency Recovery option in the case of a
hard drive crash or un-installation.
B) The least preferable option would be to create
a NEW account in v4 and then have it merged - doing so,
forces the v3 account to be closed. This may cause
unnecessary downtime should the player find they do not
have the
required v4 requirements for their computer system.
Using option (A) would allow the players to use
the SAME ACCOUNT on BOTH VERSIONS of the software - and
there have been no issues with players using both
versions of the
software.
